A large antique 8-light silver chandelier that was originally built for gas, now converted to electric. The original gas petcocks are still in place. This body is made in a combination of cast, wrought, and stamped elements, all finely rendered and finished in their original aged silverplate over brass. The composition shows sophisticated handling of scroll details throughout, especially where the vines in the arms double back to wrap around themselves in the arms and in the suspension "ropes". One of the arms was missing and is now replaced by new matching elements made in the Remains Lighting workshops. Originally, there was likely a large central glass shade that's lost to time.
