Featured Project: Studio Sofield's Beckford House and Tower

Remains Lighting Co. collaborated with Studio Sofield to realize the latter’s vision for the Beckford House & Tower on New York’s Upper East Side. Sofield’s beautiful, idiosyncratic, yet classically proportioned suite of fixtures was rendered in an unusual combination of cast, patinated aluminum, wrought brass, solid clear acrylic rods, and milk glass. The lighting now adorns a pair of buildings that draw deeply from the architectural styles of the best of New York City’s early 20th century skyscrapers.
