Our Contract Lighting Design & Manufacturing Process
Our typical contract lighting projects involve designing and manufacturing multiple product profiles with individual product volumes of 20-250 pieces per profile. Many products from our Made-to-Order collections can be competitively priced at larger quantities or be modified to meet site requirements, such as Dark Sky and ADA compliance.
We work closely with our hospitality and commercial clients to understand the needs of the contract lighting project and to describe the plan for design, production, and delivery. We regularly coordinate with contractors, engineers, and lighting designers about site-specific performance and installation requirements, and design our fixtures with these needs in mind. We can offer intensive design development services to clients à la carte, should their project require it.

As a trade lighting company, we can assist on your projects with in-office meetings, site visits, showroom meetings, or cloud collaboration. Our dedicated account management team also leads presentations for interior designers in our trade program, offering tailored fixture selections from our catalog to suit projects of every scale, from traditional interiors to modern exterior environments.
Customization Options
The Remains Lighting Company Made-to-Order collection is intended to be as versatile as it is beautiful. Lighting trade clients can customize our fixtures further with a wide range of metal and glassware options, size, height, and wiring adjustments, and an extensive array of plated, patinated, and painted finishes.
Project Management
The Project Management team is stationed in our Brooklyn, NY factory and oversees the production of lighting fixtures from fabrication to shipment. Trade account members receive the expertise of a dedicated project manager to support their projects from specification and through delivery and fixture installation.
Factory Tours and Events
Access
We welcome architects, interior designers, and other trade account members to visit our sustainable factory to learn more about our lighting products and capabilities, meet the skilled artisans crafting our fixtures, and see projects in production. An Account Manager can schedule a tour.
Events
Members of our to-the-trade lighting program receive exclusive access to Remains Lighting Company social and educational events, sample sales, and promotions.
