A pair of large double light sconces in their original silverplate over bronze finish. The shield-form backplates are finished above and below with shell motifs. The s-curving arms have scrolled terminals and foliate details. Attributed to the New York maker E. F. Caldwell, excluding the bobeches, a contemporary addition designed to echo the shell details of the backplates.
