Commune Design
The Commune for Remains Lighting Company collection seamlessly blends Modernist lighting and accessories, featuring designs inspired by Viennese Secession, French 1950s, and Milanese Modernist styles as seen through a California lens. Each piece represents modern high-end lighting and functional design, rendered in brass and glass with finishes ranging from polished brass, copper, and nickel, to dark waxed bronze. These pieces are designed to be both beautiful and versatile with a classic yet contemporary feel.
About the Lighting Collection
The Commune lighting collection includes chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts, reading lights, table lanterns, lamps, and exterior wall lights in contemporary designs. These high-end light fixtures offer both ambient and task lighting solutions. Commune Design's globe and candle lanterns are versatile enough to grace a bookcase, desk, table, console, or nightstand, perfect for design-forward spaces.
About the Accessories Collection (Introduced 2025)
Building on the success of their Modernist lighting collaboration, Commune and Remains introduced an accessories collection that brings the same design philosophy to functional objects. The high-end accessories featured include trays, tissue box covers, cups, and wastebins. Each piece is made to order in solid brass, fabricated in unlacquered brass that will patina to perfection over time. Whether in the bathroom, kitchen, or office, these accessories are made to be used, mixed, and matched, carrying their own spirit into any interior while seamlessly complementing the lighting collection.
