An antique pendant fixture made of cast and wrought brass, in its original age-darkened finish. The chain, canopy, and cast body are all of muscular proportions. The glass is a frosted slumped wispy white art glass, held in a bezel that has a very unusual horizontal hinged configuration. Titled "Railway Pendant" here since that's how I've seen them in the past, but such fixtures would have served in many civic or public institutional settings, like a courthouse, school, or bank. Due to the antique nature of this fixture, there may be some nicks or imperfections in the glass as well as variations from piece to piece.
