A pair of double-light sconces having backplates with vignettes depicting figures in a landscape, one with the phrase “sacred to friendship” in vitreous enamel; the metalwork in its original worn gilded finish. A small area of the blue enamel, with restoration. Signed by the New York maker E. F. Caldwell Co.
