From the Remains Archive. Available by private inquiry.
A double light wall sconce signed by the maker E. F. Caldwell of New York. The beaded oval armback holds an urnform armback, from which spring two oval-section arms that terminate in bellied hexagonal waxpans and half-ovoid candle cups. The surface is embellished with beaded edges and overall dense and crisp arabesque engraving. The base metals are a combination of brass and copper, finished in gold.
Historical works from the Archive are reproduced selectively through the Remains workshop, with pricing and lead times determined according to the scope and complexity of the original work.
