Curtiss Sconce with Dollop Glass

A one arm sconce with a dollop-of-cream form shade of hand blown Italian glass held on the cup’s rope-detailed edge. The roping is echoed in the broad convex round backplate and armback. The glass shade is available in Dusk, a translucent cool gray, or Sfumato, a clear to opal gradient. The Curtiss-Wright Company designed dozens of beautiful aircraft, like the twin-prop H4 "America" who's cockpit and tail profiles are echoed here.
