A large vintage brass lantern with a swept-up pagoda form body in its original age-darkened finish. The tapered hexagon frame has pierced details above and below, including a teardrop frieze and the motif of curved panels meeting in points at the edges carries throughout the design. Glazed with clear glass panels, the lantern has a hinged door, providing access to the six lights in the center of this ceiling fixture. Due to the antique nature of this fixture, there may be some nicks or imperfections in the glass.
