Remains Lighting Company is proud to represent Scofield Lighting, a maker of heritage lighting inspired by 17th-19th century American and European styles—particularly designs from the Federal and Colonial eras. Scofield combines heirloom-quality materials, old-world craftsmanship, and modern functionality to create authentic vintage reproduction light fixtures.

About the Lighting Collection

The collection includes French country-inspired designs as well as early American reproduction lighting derived from original oil, candle, and gas fixtures. Each handcrafted piece celebrates the legacy of European light fixtures and early American lighting while meeting today’s standards. Fixtures are crafted from historic materials including metal, glass, and mirror, with classic finishes such as copper, aged tin, and gold leaf. The collection features a wide range of lighting types, including chandeliers, pendants, wall sconces, flush mounts, and exterior lanterns—each thoughtfully designed to honor traditional forms.

About Scofield Lighting

Scofield Lighting was founded in 1974 in Chester, CT, by Richard D. Scofield, who spent many years studying the early American lighting found in the museum collections in Old Sturbridge Village and Historic Deerfield, Massachusetts. The intricate designs of historic lighting inspired Scofield's collection of reproduction lighting fixtures and original fixtures with classic motifs. Scofield Lighting is now fabricated in Pennsylvania by Heritage Metalworks.
