We’re proud to announce that David Calligeros, founder of Remains Lighting, has been named to Wallpaper magazine’s 2025 USA 400—a definitive guide to the 400 creatives shaping the future of the American creative landscape.
David was recognized in the “Design Business Leaders” category, which honors the entrepreneurs and CEOs driving the country’s most influential design companies, from globally renowned furniture giants to small, independent brands making an outsized impact. It’s a fitting acknowledgment of his leadership, vision, and decades-long dedication to thoughtful, enduring design and craftsmanship.
Since launching Remains in 1996, David has built the brand to be synonymous with integrity, timeless craftsmanship, and top American manufacturing. He leads the company as a champion of sustainability and ethical production in our Brooklyn factory, where we meticulously handcraft and restore objects using both modern and historic techniques.
David’s inclusion in the USA 400 reflects what we’ve long known: design leadership is about values, vision, and the ability to shape culture. We’re honored to see him recognized among such inspiring peers across architecture, fashion, interiors, technology, and the arts.
Congratulations to our founder and all of the inspiring honorees, and thank you to Wallpaper* for recognizing his impact.
We’re excited to share the celebration with Matthew Fisher and Roman Alonso & Steven Johanknecht, the creative forces behind our M.Fisher and Commune made to order collections, who were also named to the Wallpaper* 2025 USA 400.
